Yvonne Fulmore is a media artist who is interested in media's educational potential, as well as in the depiction
patterns of underrepresented groups in media. Now a doctoral student in Mass Media and Communication at Temple University, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Media Arts and Sciences at Wellesley College, and received
her Master of Fine Arts degree in Media Arts Production from the
University at Buffalo. Currently, she is a volunteer Research Assistant with the Media Education Lab, working with Maggie Ricco to document student learning about the Internet through multimedia production experiences.
The Media Education Lab at the University of Rhode Island advances media literacy education through research and community service. We emphasize interdisciplinary scholarship and practice that stands at the intersections of communication, media studies and education.
