David Cooper Moore and Kate Spiller presented a media literacy workshop at the XTREME Health Conference for middle and high school students on October 25, 2011 in Lancaster, PA at Millersville University.
David and Kate used the Media Education Lab's 5 Critical Questions as a starting point for students to begin to ask questions about the media they watch. The workshop focused specifically on health claims in food advertisements. Thanks to conference organizers Patricia Espinosa and Anita Pilkerton-Plumb for the opportunity to share media literacy with the Lancaster community!
