Benjamin Thevenin is an Associate Professor of Media Arts at Appalachian State University as well as a screenwriter and producer of film and new media. Benjamin’s research focuses on the relationships between youth, media and politics, and in particular, how we can better prepare young people to become thoughtful citizens, consumers and creators of media. His book Making Media Matter: Critical Literacy, Popular Culture and Creative Production (Routledge, 2022) is a FREE resource for educators.
