In its broadest sense, learning can be defined as a process of progressive change from ignorance to knowledge, from inability to competence, and from indifference to understanding.
Samantha Stanley is a Ph.D student in journalism at the University of Hong Kong. In her past life, she practiced digital communications for non-profits in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Her passion for media literacy began with an undergraduate course in the political economies of mass media and have grown to include digital and information literacies. She created the DIGIURI Media Club, a monthly discussion group and has led that group for three years.
