Education and the Economy: How Fair Use for Digital Learning Supports Economic Development

We urge the U.S. Dept of Commerce to ensure economic development of the Internet economy through robust support of fair use in education.

The Media Education Lab has submitted a comment to the U.S. Department of Commerce, urging the Task Force on Copyright Policy to consider the strong relationship between educators' role as the cultivators of human capital and the impact of their work on the Internet economy. Any online copyright policy that circumscribes the flexibility of copyright law directly undermines the advacement of economic innovation that supports and develops the work force.  Read our comment in the attached file.
