Matt Whyte is a recording music artist and composer Matt Whyte, host and creator of the podcast series 'Sing for Science, a science advocacy and music podcast produced with Talkhouse where musicians talk to scientists about science as it connects to their most famous songs. The podcast’s goal is to increase science literacy for as many people as possible by reaching a variety of different musicians’ fan bases. Listeners come to the show through their love of music and leave with a new piece of knowledge about science and the scientific process.
The conversational starting point for each show begins between the host and guest musician talking about the featured song from any number of different angles and then branches out to include the guest scientist. Once the guest scientist has been brought into the fold, the show focuses on communicating knowledge specific to the scientist’s area of expertise and often relevant calls to action as well.
