Renee Hobbs on Copyright, Fair Use and Digital Learning
Renee Hobbs shares insight on her latest work, Copyright Clarity: How Fair Use Supports Digital Learning, a new book which helps educators apply the principles of fair use when using movies, music, images or other types of copyrighted materials for teaching and learning.  She will also discuss her experience petitioning the U.S. Copyright Office for a special exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act so that students and teachers can “rip” DVDs for educational projects, including remixes and critical commentary.
