How do students learn to identify the credibility of information?
Charlie Coiro is a leadership instructor, facilitator and consultant with the U.S. Coast Guard. He has more than 30 years of service as an Active Duty and Civilian member of the Coast Guard. During his 24 years in the leadership development arena, he has instructed thousands of students in programs ranging from one to fifty week durations. Charlie has developed more than 100 courses, workshops, and publications related to: collaboration, leadership theory, facilitation, consulting, communications, conflict management, change management and self-awareness. In 1998 he helped establish the U.S. Coast Guard’s Leadership Development Center where he continues to work. In addition to his work in the Coast Guard, he has also consulted with numerous businesses and non-profit organizations. Charlie has a B.S. in Political Science from the United States Coast Guard Academy and an M.S. in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School.
