Jason LaCarrubba

Jason LaCarrubba is the founder of Semblen, a site that helps readers see how the news is written: the rhetorical techniques in an article, how the same story is told across outlets and the US government, and whether its claims hold up against independent sources. He has worked in software since 1999, including engineering roles at Cisco Systems, Spotify, The Knot and Compass, and as head of engineering at AudiencePlus. He has worked on Semblen full time since September 2025. Semblen LLC is based in Austin, Texas.
