Jocelyn Ford

Jocelyn Ford is a filmmaker, journalist and educator based in East Asia from 1981-2020. Post-pandemic she has taught remotely in China as Honorary Professor of Practice at Jinan University and Chongqing University of and Posts and Telecom. Media literacy and global competencies are key focuses of her courses, which range from Social Justice Documentary Filmmaking to AI and the Future of Society and Global Leadership Skills. Jocelyn was founding bureau chief for U.S. public radio's business show Marketplace in Tokyo (1994) and Beijing (2002) and has worked in domestic media in Japan (Kyodo News Service, 1986-94) and China (China Radio International 2001.) Her 2014 documentary film Nowhere To Call Home: A Tibetan in Beijing focusses on othering and belonging issues in China.
