People underestimate how powerful the media is for young people who grow up watching a lot of television. Through the media, we've established this standard of what every human being should look up to.
Salome Apkhazishvili is a media education scholar from the country of Georgia. She is an experienced journalist and Fulbright communication graduate from the University of Southern Indiana. Her interests stand at the intersection of journalism and education, where media can be used as a tool of education and vice versa, education can be an important part of the media industry. She joined the Media Education Lab in summer 2020, as an Edmund S. Muskie summer intern. Salome is enthusiastic to help educators to effectively communicate with and about media.
