Thank You Notes

Cambridge MA Librarians PD 2025

To my librarian friends in the Cambridge Public Schools:

I recently offered a professional development program to you --and you sent me a number of thank you notes. What a delightful and unexpected treat!

Thank you for identifying the components of the professional learning experience that you found most valuable. Here's a summary of your key insights:

  • "Several librarians emailed the superintendent saying it was the best professional development in their teaching careers."
  • "I learned the importance of having experts motivate my team by sharing a pasion and deep-seated belief in the work."
  • "With the urgency of the topic, it felt empowering to discus its immediate relevance and I am grateful for your time and expertise."
  • "The energy and sense of hope in the room was palpable!"
  • "I left your presentation with some ideas to implement right away!"

I have a great sense of optimism that as library leaders, you are helping all students in the Cambridge public schools have rich and valuable media literacy learning experiences.

Best wishes for your spring semester!
