Help students acquire digital and media literacy competencies with Renee Hobbs' Media Literacy in Action: Questioning the Media, in the newly released second edition published by Rowman and Littlefield. 

Media literacy is now gaining traction in fields including media and communication, rhetoric and composition, the arts and education, business and computer science. 

All participants will receive a free Teachers Guide and we'll also review some of the rich content on the companion website. 

Renee will also discuss the deep strategy, pedagogy, and theory that's embedded in the book. Teachers who have used the book in colleges, universities, and in upper-level courses in high school will share their experiences and we'll take a close look at the new content on AI and machine learning, algorithmic personalization, media regulation, and big data, privacy, and surveillance.
