Paris Whalon is the Student Success Librarian for Media Literacy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). In this role, she provides instruction on content creation through different mediums and demonstrates the services and resources the library provides equity, helping students create responsible media using the university's tools and software. She also offers consultations and workshops to assist the UTK community with media-related work, research and projects. Additionally, Paris manages the board game collection, oversees Virtual Reality and gaming initiatives to support community well-being and the gamification of educational spaces. Finally, she supports the College of Architecture and Design (CoAD) by managing their collection and ensuring the library has resources that meet CoAD's needs. Her research focuses on programming and media-related topics, contributing to the advancement of media literacy and technology integration into higher education.
