Given the ever-accelerating global spread of information, There is a broad consensus among educators that we should approach these topics with students. However, doubts arise from this matter, such as when to teach it, who should take responsibility for this subject, should it be an independent subject at school or how to teach it are the main concerns. In order to tackle these questions effectively, it is essential to develop comprehensive strategies that involve curriculum innovation and teacher training. In Brazil, our government has recently approved a law that guarantees teacher training and Media Education in schools. Moises and I are going to talk about this scenario and some initiatives we are developing through our doctoral research.
