About the Speaker:
Cristina Figueras is the Head of Education at Verificat, a fact-checking platform in Barcelona, where she leads educational programs at both national and international levels. These programs aim to foster critical thinking and democratic values among citizens, with a special focus on seniors and young people.
Cristina has worked as a secondary school teacher within the Teach For All network and has provided training in Socratic dialogue and mediation to promote democratic values. She holds a law degree from ESADE University, along with a master's degree in Citizenship and Human Rights, Ethics and Politics from the University of Barcelona, and a master's degree in teacher training from Pompeu Fabra University.
