If you are a returning participant, you can choose to participate in the Leadership Tier. When you register for Summer Institute, select the "Graduate" option if you will be completing the Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy. Then send email to Jonathan Friesem (yonty@uri.edu) to inform us that you will be particpating in the Leadership Track.
You will attend morning keynote sessions and afternoon Cool Tool/Hot Topics sessions with all institute participants. However, your Digging Deeper Sessions and Design Studio experiences are specially designed to inform your creation of a robust change- implementation plan.

These sessions are
designed to build understanding of specific collaboration and facilitation
techniques while learning how to lead with face-to-face and digital
tools. Digging deeper sessions will

Appreciative Inquiry |
During the week, you will
gain hands-on practice in facilitation and work with others to design a robust change-implementation plan to
deploy your vision for integrating digital literacy into your world of work. Your
plan will include a contextualized vision and a series of action steps to
engage your colleagues in activities to achieve this vision. |
OPTIONAL: You may earn
graduate credit for the Summer Institute Tier 2 by enrolling in EDC 586:
Leading with Digital Literacy. To earn
graduate credit, additional assignments before and after the institute are
required, and EDC 531 (Tier 1) is required as a pre-requisite course. |
