MediaEd Dialogues: A Forum for Dialogue and Discussion

In these two sessions, the floor is open and everyone learns from everyone! This convening uses a "question generation" protocol to discover what people in the session want to talk about. We first establish some ground rules to ensure that our discussion is authentic and useful to all participants.

The 2nd MediaEd Research Jam - Call for Extended Abstracts

U.S. media literacy educators and researchers are invited to submit extended abstracts for the 2026 MediaEd Research Jam, to be held March 12–13, 2026, at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. This two-day, in-person convening will feature collaborative salons designed to spark research partnerships and develop educational strategies that address current challenges in media literacy education.

The 2026 Media Education Lab Graduate Symposium is an online leadership development program for masters and doctoral students who are looking to delve into media literacy practices and find their community of practice. 

PROGRAM DATES: May  - October  2026

This monthly virtual gathering includes academic mentorship, networking, and practical workshops. It's a unique opportunity to not only meet leading scholars and emerging academics, but also to enhance your own expertise in media literacy education. The program has two phases:
