Jubilee School, West Philadelphia

Thanks to Director Karen Falcon, we were able to place Maggie Ricco and MMC doctoral student Yvonne Fulmore in the school during the Spring 2011 semester. Maggie Ricco offered an Internet education program tosupport students in Grades 5 and 6 as they developed their "History of the 20^thCentury" website. Yvonne Fulmore servedas a research assistant for the project, observing student learning in theclassroom and interviewing children about their attitudes and experiences ofthe learning process. Jubilee School students came to Temple University on April 26, 2011 topresent their work to an audience of Temple undergraduate students enrolled inRenee Hobbs' Mass Media and Children course.
