Building Bridges with The Village

Filmmaker Eugene Martin, Co-Director of the Media Education Lab at Temple University, discussed his partnership with The Village of Arts and Humanities in North Philadelphia.

Professor Martin teaches an honors Community Media Production course where undergraduates work with urban high school students to teach media production skills.  Two films created by students will be screened.  The film Dreaming, created by high school students at The Village, is a magical story about a boy who is frustrated at home and wants to be treated like an adult.  After an altercation with an adult, he becomes an adult. Then realizes he wants the simplicity and security of childhood.  The second film is a documentary by Temple undergraduates about the making of Dreaming
