WHY IT MATTERS

In today's digital age, navigating the complexities of media is crucial for everyone. Media literacy plays a crucial role in building resilience in the Palestinian Territories by empowering individuals to critically analyze information, challenge narratives, and advocate for their needs. Palestinians benefit when they have the skills needed to navigate a complex media landscape, identify biases, and construct their own narratives. Developing  skills to utilize social media platforms to develop informed opinions and advocate for their needs, will help Palestinians improve their agency and resilience in the face of increased misinformation.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This professional development program will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to empower Palestinian youth to become critical consumers and creators. We'll explore a range of media literacy concepts, including identifying bias, analyzing persuasive techniques, evaluating sources, and creating responsible media content. This program is a “learning-by-doing” program taught by leading international experts in media literacy by the Media Education Lab.
